I hereby certify that pursuant to Division A, Title XV, Subtitle A, Section 1511 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), Public Law 111-5, the infrastructure investment listed below has received the full review and vetting required by law and that the infrastructure investment is an appropriate use of taxpayer dollars. Italy ISD has used a portion of the ARRA Title XIV SFSF funds to refurbish roofs and air conditioners at both campuses in our school district. At the high school campus the cost to replace the sub-par roofing and air conditioners totaled $90,183.50. At our elementary campus the cost to replace the sub-par roofing and air-conditioners totaled $67,244.50. The start date of this project was December 7, 2009 and ended on January 15, 2010. Once the roofing was replaced at the elementary, a portion of the eaves at the campus were determined to be rotten. We will use $5,697.00 to replace and paint the rotten eaves at our elementary campus. The start date for this project is June 30, 2010 and will end on July 13, 2010. The total cost for these projects is $163,125.00. The full sum of these projects is funded with the ARRA Title XIV SFSF funds. These projects were approved in advance by the Texas Education Agency. Italy ISD used reputable and lawful complanies registered on buy board for the roofs and air conditioners and received bids on the replacing and painting of the eaves.
